Longboats heading toward Snakavik

This is a digital painting concentrating on scale and the feeling of vastness. After just finishing the two epic novels Shadow of the Gods and Hunger of the Gods by John Gwynne, I decided to do a piece of fan art of the town called Snakavik. This town is built on the foundation of a huge ancient Snake skull, the skull is the deceased head of an ancient God from the setting. the whole skeleton males up an island, which I thought was a great fantasy concept to paint
